5 out of 5 stars YES YES YES!   September 5, 2010

First of all, I did not own a Kindle 1. Secondly, my wife and I love the Kindle 2! So get it! Get it now!

5 out of 5 stars Kindle 2nd Generation   September 5, 2010

I just love my new Kindle, it is easy to use with the page buttons on each side, the screen is great for reading, just like reading a book, the screen does not fade when reading in sunlight. I also like being able to download my books, Readers Digest and books from our local library, I am so glad I decided to purchase my new Kindle.

5 out of 5 stars Great Device   September 4, 2010

iPad? Sure why not, but don't discount the Kindle with it's easy on-the-eyes display, dictionary and light weight design it reads in the sunlight as easy as it reads indoors without the bulk of an iPad.

So, if you want an iPad that's great it's a wonderful device, but it's no substitute for the avid reader's indulgence like the Kindle; the two can coexist quite nicely.

5 out of 5 stars Even better   September 4, 2010

I am an original kindle owner and bought this for my husband. I loved it so much, I ordered the latest kindle for myself. We are now a 3 kindle family.

i bought this for my sister but her husband bought her an IPAD so she did not want to keep it. I decided to return this and when I submitted to return the item, it said i had till august 19th. amazon claims august 13th. i say lies. i am not happy that they penalized me by charging me a restocking fee over 20%. not cool at all. i was going to buy another one since the price is $139.00 now but $189.00 when i bought it for my sister. wrote to them about it and i have not heard from them. no response. no customer service. because of this incident, they can keep their kindle, i'm buying an IPAD!!!!!!
